hi i have a 1994 impreza import car cuts out when driving, doesnt start but will turn over these are all intermitent problems as it can run for a week then the probs start again.the engine check light sometimes doesnt come on with the ignition thats when you know it isnt going to start. allot of clicking goes on from the fuel pump relays and other parts of the engine.if you leave the car with the ignition on sometimes the check engine light will will just come on and the car will start.have changed both relays,stripped out alarm and immob,cleaned all the earths and bridged them aswell.no fauls codes.new battery.the car has z4 ecu with polar chip and decat.i run the car on vpower aswell.all this was done to the car when i got it.hope someone can help thanks

 

given what u have done/checked, sounds like a loose connection (but where ??!!??)

 

thought i had it sorted as one morning went to car and no engine check light so i went to the ecu and noticed there was on nut missing that holds the ecu on to the bracket so i turned on the ignition there was no engine check light but when i pressed the bracket down towards the floor the light came on.i could make the light come one and off by pressing the bracket so i thought bad earth going to ecu so i cleaned all the fixings ect put back together and of she went for a week then it happened again.realy dont know what to try next have checked all the wiring that i can see without taking out the dash
