I'm about to mount an APS CAIK to my MY97/98 Classic.

Will this cause any problems because my car can't get (re-)mapped?

Will the MAF cope with the alteration?

better off gettig a decent panel filter mate.some classics can run lean after fitting induction kits.plus without mapping there will be no real power gain in fitting induction kit.

 

i would say that it will need a map tweek, to re scale the maff sensor. or it will run lean, and the engine could go POP

I bought one of these 2 weeks ago and after speaking to my mapper ,this will require a complete remap due to the maf scaling,not just a map tweak .I was told ,that many cars have gone bang with this system fitted and no remap, even after very short mileage ,so personally i would not fit it.
