Default Smelly smells....?

Hi I've got a really string smell of exhaust fumes in the cockpit of the car?

If I turn the heater fans off it makes the smell not as strong but still very noticeable, I have been driving with the windows down the last few days..

I have checked under the bonnet to see if any of the breathers are clogged up but they are all breathing fine and also checked to see if the downpipe / exhaust is leaking but there not

It def doesnt smell like burning oil or coolant, but more like the backbox is in the car lol..

What i have also noticed is the more I put my foot down the stronger the smell becomes, it's starting to drive me mad

Any help / suggestions peeps?

Thanks,

Kev.

If you have a standard up pipe(exhaust from bottom of turbo to manifolds)there's a flexi that leaks on them.you can not see it because of the heat shield around it.

If the up pipe is blowing or gaskets have come away would you not hear it blowing? It doesn't sound like the exhaust is blowing from anywhere, however my exhaust is that bloody loud I can imagine it would drone out any blowing noises
