Default piston seize on 4 pots... what to do...

hi all, as in the title. i have a my00 uk turbo with the standard 4 pot fronts, i was changing the pads, and 1 piston in the n/s calliper is seized solid...wont go in or out, so ive only put 1 pad in the good side and left the original in the seized side. i didnt want to over force it incase i damaged something so ivee come to ask for advice first... so what should i do?> try and get a g clamp to wind it in? i hope i can sort this without needing to change callipers... ballache

Its probably the piston has rusted , and the build up of rust won't allow it back into the caliper , it need to come out and be changed.

Its a simple enough job if your handy with tools , as they are only pushed into the caliper , and have a seal fitted into a groove inside the caliper.

I have some stainless steel pistons here we can send you if you just want one changing , we supply these for £15 each , but we also have an offer on at the moment for 8 stainless steel pistons and a seal kit for both calipers for £99

The piston that is stuck will come out by pumping the brake pedal , no matter how stuck it is , it will come out

Cheers Ian
