spring in my pcv?

spring in my pcv?
have a 1995 uk turbo was wondering should the pcv valve be spring loaded as seems to just move up and down freely...cheers is an ej20

No it should move freely inside. So when the manifold is on vacuum (Off Boost) it's open and when on boost it slams shut

cheers bud went had another look..is a spring in there but its pretty weak so it can slide open an shut easy...
