Default mini scoops

I got pair of mini scoops for my 94 impreza, thought this may help with hks induction kit? they look pretty cool but they leave a gaping hole in the bonnet, is this bad to have rain and spray off the road hitting the air filter? i could put the blabking plates at the bottom, that would make the scoops pointless though surely??

Hi,

I put a mini scoop on my previous 96 Impreza to what I'd thought help with air flow to the cone filter I had - within 2 months my air flow meter failed

Not sure if was just coincidence, but I won't put one on another car.

Hope helps a bit !

yea i was thinking about the flow meter, all that water and all the other stuff like mud and salt cant be good for filter. i might still fit the mini scoops but just keep the blanking plates on under bonnet, all sealed then.
