Default which headgasket...genuine cosworth etc etc

exactly as the title says

head gaskets are so dear or these but i with the amount o work involved to change them i want to put a decent one on

so

from peoples past experiences

cosworth
mahle
cometic (although iv been told to steer clear of these)
genuine

mahle are a bit cheaper

genuine then cosworth are dearest

there is about 55 quid diference from the mahle ones o the cosworh ones

car is rr at 315 brake so no totally pushing the boundaries

the ones iv removed measure up at 1.4mm to whereas the cosworth thickest are 1.4mm but genuine are 1.6

any suggestions or debate is welcomed haha

cheers

Most specialists would rebuild using OEM STi MLS ones - they're fine.

Or possibly a good brand like Cosworth.

I was under the impression that Cometic were fine?

But the brand option can be dictated by what thickness you need - important to choose the correct thickness, so the C.R. is correct.

Well if thickness is anything toi go by (which I was conscious of) its looking like genuine and 1.6 is the only way toi goi as iv had both heads faced off now to

Cheers for the advice

Api and such like will not use cometic FTR as they say they have proven that genuine ones are better
