how did you lose the weight?

Did you have an alloy bonnet?

6.7Kg is pretty light anyway!

i'd guess cross members are no longer there, give it a few weeks at most till it folds up.

Carbon fibre is either expensive or weighs similar, other option is alloy bonnet if you can fidn one

That's a decent weight to get it down to. The Seibon Dry Carbon weighs 4.1kg. The shiny carbon will weight more but will be cheaper than the dry.

talking from experience???

it is ally

basically hacked all the internal structure out, so it's pretty much just the outer skin, hinge and hook mounts and the hinges and hook. i added some extra glue under the mount plates

forgot to mension the weight was with a carbon vent in place of the scoop and standard side vents

So you`ve saved 2kg by wrecking the bonnet and as said above, probably fold up.

hardly seems worth it for 2kgs, 20kg then i can understand it

Wtf. Why , you must be bored.
Surely there,s better ways to save weight, cutting all the lugs and heat shields of my headers would have saved more than that.

done that ages ago, headers look proper smooth on the inside and outside now :-)
i even cut the lugs off my inlet manifold when i spun it round

basically i'm trying to loose as much weight as possible without spending much money, if any, and comply with hillclimb/sprint road going class regs
