Default Help with fault code please

I have a w reg 2.0ltr sport which now and then has a little kick and a misfire, plugged my lapper into it and a fault code of P0037 has come up which says an earth fault on the heater in the oxygen sensor number 2 bank 1, now this suggest an oxygen sensor after the cat but I can only see 1 sensor which is before the cat, am I right there is only 1 oxygen sensor? secondly it is recommended to check fuses before replacing sensor and the only fuses i can find are in a little box in the engine bay but theres not many in there, that cant be the only fuse box can it? if there is more fuses where are they please?

Regards

Assuming it's a newage (as you appear to have OBDII) you should have two sensors one before (A/F sensor) and one after (o2 sensor) the cat..........

If you remove the coin tray to the right of the steering column by your knee the Fuse/relay board is behind it.

Both sensors however are fed directly from the ECU.

They all have the OBDII port as it's used for SSM (Subaru Select Monitor)

For clarity is it a classic or newage as W reg would seem to be too early for newage?

Classic would have the single O2 sensor (item 21) but I'm surprised you obtained a "Pxxxx" code.

Dont know if its a classic, only picked it up 2 days ago and dont know the difference, i used ecuexplorer which connected fine and chose the ssm option and showed real time data fine. I downloaded all the pdf files from here for a 99-2001, just looked down through and theres a picture on there with the o2 sensor behind the second cat, must admit when i got on the floor and had a look along the exhaust i couldnt see another sensor so i'm thinking maybe the picture above is what i have and just the one sensor.

I'll have a look again tomorrow for the second one behind the second cat and if there deffo isnt one there then i'll assume its as above picture and go and buy a new one, is the one in the above picture classed as an AF sensor or an o2 sensor or are they the same thing?

Appreciate your help, must admit it would be nice to know what model i actually have

Cheers
