Do you mean your car is a MY00 or it's a UK Turbo 2000?

Wouldn't bother with an induction kit unless you're fitting a FMIC ,in which case you have to fit one

Unless you've lots of dosh for the new Simtek or even more dosh for the Syvecs (which seems to be the daddy of ecus for Imprezas at the mo)

i will be running tdo5 16g,with uprated top mount,440 injectors ,panel filter, full decat, uprated hrc fuel pump, was told by mapper 320 t0 330 bhp..

but as my car has fairly high mileage and don,t no when it was last rebuild.
mapper gonna run 310bhp with 300 pounds touque ,

remap is £550 with the ecotek licence ,dosn,t matter where you go i been trying every where ,

you could try and get a ecu with the licence already from scooby net traders or try ebay but unless you get one for around £80 you wont save much ,

hope this helps

There are a few more options but just as expensive as the ones I've mentioned iirc.

I wouldn't run the car without a remap with those mods don't think the ecu would like running them but your best bet is to ask the mappers on here such as

Jolly Green Monster
Alan Jeffrey
Dynamix
Andy F.

(They are in no particualr order of preference and by far not the only ones on here)

I would also seriously look at the brakes and clutch, neither are up to the job for big power (i replaced my 4 pots on my MY00 all those years back virtually straight away), and the more power you put through your car, the more unreliable it will become, especially a classic UK turbo, the gearboxes are not that strong (even though it is a TY754), and you will be pushing top power between 330-350bhp for what the engine can handle safely (it also depends on mileage, engine condition, how its been treated in the past, how well its been maintained etc).
You may be better off with a vf24 or 28, low 300's but pretty safe

Tony

Your std ecu is designed to run a td04 and 440cc injectors ,so any guesses what might happen if you just bolt on your mods and away you go .
The £400 you were going to spend on a remap ,will be spent on a new engine.. There is no short cut if you want more power then you have to pay - end of.
We have all been there ,and I for one deliberated over shelling out £400 - £500 for a remap on a 10 yr old car.But in the end it was worth every penny,as the performance outways the cost , by along way imho.
Also a mapper not mentioned but worthy of a mention is Bob Rawle

Std ecu off a MY99 uk turbo 2000 with a ecutek remap by bob rawle.
Depending on when your car was made it will be a E3(AE800/801) ecu if it was made in 1999.If it was made in 2000 it will be a Y7(AE802),both can be mapped by ecutec mapping to give good results .

An ecuTEK map doesn't necessarily cost £550. Group buy prices are lower for starters and I know Bob Rawle offers his services for £480 on a GB.

I bought an ecuTEK'ed ecu off here for £140 delivered which had a Bob Rawle license and map on it. Including the above cost for the ecu itself, he did a fresh map on my Scoob for £420 (map was £280). So £60 saved straight away and £130 on your figure.
