anyone experienced stupidly tight cambelt pully bolts?

i was removing them today, went to the 1st one with a half inch air gun and undone no problems
went to the next but wouldnt undo? so tried the other 2 and they were proper tight to!!
resulted in a half inch big breaker bar on the bolt with a length of gas pipe as leverage with a spanner on the hex part of the camshaft with a scaffold bar as leverage
i was shocked as NEVER have i seen cam pully bolts this tight!
