Default FMIC problem ?

Hi,

I have a W reg WRX Classic. Just recently fitted FMIC and went for a drive. Water Temp is overheating and car running doggedly.

The new piping has an attatchment for the dump valve which I have blocked off as the original dump valve is made to fit the standard TMIC, and I'm still using the same dump valve. I'm 90% sure the dump valve is the problem. I've ordered a new on to replace and fit to the new pipe. Any thoughts ?

Have you had a remap or your map tweaked to suit? My v3 sti ran horrible after fitting fmic, very laggy and hesitant on boost, you won't see any benefit otherwise and will more than likely do damage to your engine! Thinking about it, you should remove the dumpvalve completely and block off the pipework that recirculates the air back to the intake, sounds like you just have it dangling and letting air in?

Remap needed.

Otherwise engine damage could occur.
