What Oil do i need

just noticed my 2003 blob wrx needs toping up, what oil do you recomend to get?

What went into it at the last service?
If you know that then you should top it up with the same, or else go for the standard 10w40 shell helix oil.

tbh i sent a text to the guy i bought it off, but he hasnt got back to me, so decided to do a full oil and filter change, the lads at poleposition managed to fit me in late on, so all good.
