as above, there not working. where do i start? if i could have some pointers that would be great.

The most likely scenario is the mulitplug/s at the binnacle's rear is/are not fully home/somehow come adfrift(?)

If you pull the binnacle out to check, also check all of the copper tracks for any breaks...

As above, start at the connectors to the clocks. Check the tracks to each gauge.
THEN check the connectors to the actual senders.

ye i have had the clocks out, all plugged in fine. i just left the car took the covers off in the boot above fuel tank to check all was plugged in which it was.

ill have to look at clocks again then.

would a faulty water temp sensor cause this fault??

update, today fitted new clocks sorted the problem, updating as others may come across same problem. the mechanical claocks are known for failing. altering the milage again is easy.
