Default Bonnet bouncing at speed?

Hi all,
I have a blob sti.

When travelling over 100 mph the scoop really bounces around. And iv noticed that the corners of the bonnet say in front of the headlights seem to be lifting/ moving up.

Is this a common problem? As it makes me feel that the bonnet could flip up if i was to go faster or continue this speed?

Is this a case of tigtening the bonnet catch or usual???

Thanks

You can adjust the catch and the bonnet bump stops.

Does the edges of ur bonnet seem to be moving too? Plus is there a chance of the bonnet catch coming undone at speed??

no but removing the big parachute of a scoop that sits on top does .

only real way of stopping it is fitting aero catch bonnet pins

seems to be a common thing, several times after driving down a motorway ive noticed when ive stopped the bonnet was only closed by the catch that holds it in place when u pull the bonnet release.
Needless to say ive since had this rectified by my local specialist

Bonnet must have been loose originally for that much movement ..

Lower the bonnet lock and loosen the rubber buffers (raising them), one should act against the other and hold bonnet tight

had car for just over a year now, problem started say 4 month ago, its fixed now, bonnet catch got adjusted, not sure what it entailed it just works now.
However the scoop does make bonnet flex somewhat, it will be going once the fmic is on

If you are able to rattle your bonnet with your hand you are at risk of this happening.. There should be no move or free play what so ever on the bonnet when its locked,
Sometimes you can take up the slack by raising the buffers, but if the bonnet lock has worked its way up a bit this will mean you bonnet will sit above your wings, in this case you need to work with both, dropping the lock a wee bit.. It actually verges close to the bonnet not being able to close with the buffers raised

So how do you adjust the buffers? And if need be lower the catch, although the bonnet isnt sitting higher than the wings?.
If i pull at tge bonnet above the headlights i can get it to move

There are 2 rubbers one on each side of the front panel, they should just screw out. As for the catch without looking I suspect there will be one maybe two bolts that fasten it on slacken these off and knock the catch down a touch then retighten the bolts.
