Default ALL THE GEAR AND NO IDEA ECU, MAPPING HELP

hi every1, ive had my new blobeye uk wrx for about a week now and wanted to get a little more out of it. so i went to a newage sti breakers in boston (pmb performance), nice lads, prized 700quidos out of my palm for full blob sti trim, front splitter, vf35, pinks, full decat, pipercross filter, walbro.
one of the lads there has just started mapping (open source) by his own addmission says he has just started done a few with good results, but cant have a/l ect. ive got a local r/r centre called corten-millers, they want 650 all in for l/break ect, is there any other option to me. iv got to get this sorted before i can bolt on all my goodies thanks guys phil

Go with a reputable mapper, using some one who's "just started " could turn out very expensive for you.
Personally ive always Richard Bulmer at Tracktive solutions (ecutek) a lot of people use Duncan Graham (race dynamix) for open source & he gets a lot of good feed back here.
First thing is to decide if you want open source or ecutek, then search on here as there are a lot of good, reputable mappers here who will travel to you.

I don't think you can post in wanted unless you are a paying member, but it's not expensive.

Why do you want anti-lag and launch-control? Is it just for the prestige? Fairly pointless on a road car to be honest. Anti-lag will kill your turbo very fast, launch control will kill your gearbox & diff before you know it!

Also, if your fitting those bits you will also need an STI TMIC and undertray. Also much better brakes, trust me!

Also, as said above. Use a recommended mapper with some experience. Its your car, engine & money that could be at stake!

Good luck with it anyhoo.

Sounds like you got most of the bits you need covered then! Nice one!

Agreed that anti-lag sounds great, but will not do your turbo any good in the long run. I got Duncan (RaceDynamix) to map mine to add a few pops and bangs. Sounds great and no turbo issues.
