samco or cheap hoses
Hi been looking at some hoses to pimp out my engine bay but the price difference between the samco and hose sets is phenomenal, can anyone explain the difference between the two apart from saying samco on them, I'm currently running 380 bhp on 1.4 boost with 2.5 engine, I am looking for more power next year when I get forged internals so don't want to buy twice, has anyone else bought the cheaper sets and any problems at high bhp. Any opinions would be appreciated cheers

Hi mate try www.SubaruTuning.co.uk (eclipse performance) they are advertising silicone hose kits for £69.99 don't know if they are any good though, just read about the offer in Total impreza magazine.

Our hoses are made up of 4 reinforced layers (just like samco). I guess Samco had the market sewn up for a long time, so their price wasn't threatened by anyone. Also, im sure they make their kits here in the UK, and if you consider 1 turbo inlet pipe can take up to 4 hours to make, that's a lot of labour to pay for. Our coolant kits are also made by hand, so you can imagine 8 or 9 hoses, all made with 4 individual layers can take a long time too!
We have our sets running on cars in excess of 400bhp without any issues at all!
