Default Changing spark plugs

I'm getting some mixed views of when to change spark plugs. I have a standard version 6 JDM sti (280bhp), although it's being mapped by Bob Rawle tomorrow, had it about 7 months and had no problems. Did the last oil change myself which was 2,000 miles ago; I tend to do it every 5,000-7,000 miles. I have no idea about spark plugs though, the car reads 58,000miles and I don't happen to know whether they have ever been changed or if I should even care.

Should I be changing them next time I do my service? if so, any recommendations of what ones I should be using?

On the newage the service interval for spark plugs in 60K miles. Not sure on older cars or jdm.

My car is running 320bhp and was mapped by Paul @ Zen. Still had the standard plugs in then and was fine so don't think you will need anything other than standard but again mine is a Newage.
