Thanks in advance to any answers that may come my way

The problem is the car doesn't accelerate like a WRX should at all!!! The car sounds OK the turbo spins up, when I change gear the Dump valve makes the usual woosh put the car doesn't go like it should in fact it doesn't seem to accelerate at all........ it's really embarresing when you get over taken by a boy racer wanna be in a Saphire....... I'm very confused :S

Please help.

sounds like you are not getting any turbo boost preasure, do it have a boost gague fitted ?? if so what boost are you getting ? if not try fitting on to check, has this just started to happen ? have any mods been done?

it could be lots of things, but defo geta boost gague riged up [even if its just borrowed] to test it.

I've not got a boost gauge but I think it may be time to get one,
I had a new Zorst put on the other day, I replaced the old system with a HKS downpip and a MAgnex Centre linked to a Trust Backbox (which should be getting changed soon)

I took it out again last night and the problem seemed to have gone away but as soon as I went round a round about (chuck the car left then right) all power seemed to be lost..... very concerned

Right then, I've bought a Boost guage and linked it all up....
When the engine off the needle sits where it should (Neutral), when I turn the motor on the needle drops to just above -.5 bar and when I try and throttle her the needle goes up to just under +.5 bar, not sure what's going on with this thing.

HELP PLEASE!!!!

being an older WRX I think they max boost at 0.8 so you are down on boost.

Time to get the brake cleaner fluid out & clean all the pipe relating to the intake, solodids, I think one of the scooby moderators has it on his web page, chriak [check spelling] is the man with a good WWW page, also check you have no leaks in the system especialy round the dump valve, do you know anyone with a recirculating job you culd fit back in to check it.

I would also reset the ECU, what fuel are you using 95 Ron, SUL or optimax ? the boost dropping on corners is strange, how much fuel did you have ? was it fuel starvation due to low feul in the tank surging round the bends ?

Slightly down on boosty hey..... hummm, I don't think anything has
been touched other than the above stated since I bought it.

I've still got the recirc dump valve, the other one is only a couple of weeks old but I will try and put it back in again.
