Default Question for the mappers

Could anyone tell me whether I would need to reset the ecu on a newage car after fitting a new MAF. Been getting poor idle and the car cutting out so changed the MAF but its still doing the same. Main problem is it cuts out when coming up to junctions etc. Car was running fine until battery was disconnected or run down by bodyshop if that helps.

Cheers

You should disconnect the battery after fitting the new MAF to reset the ECU

It's actually Martyn's job, but I'd say anybody with Deltadash can sort that out for you. You may have a fault of some kind of course, but if not using DD can reset the idle speed. You need to find a mapper, or the main agents can do it.

Cheers for the reply Alan. Martyn did have a quick look and suggested it was the MAF a couple of weeks ago now. If I bring it up to you do you think you can get it sorted. Had enough of driving around like miss daisey now, its doing my head in.
