Default Best way to re-tighten shear bolts

I have noticed my ignition barrel is ever so slightly loose, so i took a look and its moving on the steering column, looks like the shear bolts have ebbed ever so slightly loose.

Thing is, i dont want to start whacking a groove into them to tighten them in case it does the oppsoite and i end up with an even more loose ignition barrel.

so, as i have only ever removed them from a scrapped car, anyone ever tighten already sheared off shear bolts ?

worse case scenario i could loosen them and replaced them, but id rather tweak the exisiting ones up

cheers
