Question DIY towbar fitting

we're fitting a towbar to my 2000 classic sportwagon tomorrow, has anyone fitted a towbar to a similar model? is it as straight forward as 4 bolts and plug in the electrics? anyone got any tips? (no, 'get a dealer to do it' isn't a useful tip lol )
thanks

Don't think it's a plug and play!! Your probley gonna have to work out each wire and solder into the loom.

thanks for the replies so far, OH is a sparky so the electrics are less of a worry than the mechanics side of it!

Easy job! No need to remove bumper, wiring is either simple or easy depending on how you do it. You can get plug and play kits there is a multiway connector on the rear loom that you just plug into, I couldn't justify the extra cost so just used small spade terminals which I fitted into the multiway connector - took 2 of us about 2 hrs start to finish.
