Default Squeaky belt and no power steering!

Hey guys,
Got a bit a problem...
My air con tensioner decided to die yesterday so thought I'd remove it.
Had to remove the alternator belt to get the air con belt off. All went well untill I put the alternator/p steering belt back on. Tightened up started car and the belt started squeezing like mad! Also the pose steering was very hard and juddery. Loosened a little to about half inch movement and still the same! Was fine untill I touched it so any advice of what I've done wrong or new problems would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again Ryan
