Thumbs up Power fc please help

Hi guys and girls, I plan in building my car up over time and have made my first purchases. It's a v4 Sti (import) so have put on hks suspension and 2 pot rear breaks etc.

So now it corners ok I have bought a straight through exhaust, 57i air filter kit and apex I power fc and commander.

Now I have the parts sat but want to fit them and remap now to tide me over till I get my next bits. Does anyone know what gains I'll see from this and what the commander benefits are as ive in ever used avcr on my jap stuff.

Cheers guys

My v3 sti with just a decat and power fc made 305bhp, I had it on the rollers previously and made 260bhp completely standard so a healthy 45bhp increase, doesn't sound that much but the difference was night and day, pulled much harder all the way through the revs.

The commander is really best used as a monitor, useful for fault finding aswell cos it tells you the sensor voltages.

That was on standard turbo, vf23, currently making 320 on it but it's struggling a bit now, I'm pretty sure that was just under 1.4 bar.

I think it is around 1.4 bar tbh, I made slightly more power after having a fmic fitted and map tweaked, power fc is controlling the boost on mine with the stock 2 port valve at the moment

there are boost settings on the commander , how come you are only running 0.8 bar btw.

you will need a map tweak or at least a check if you are going to increase boost but the pfc does quite a good job of controlling boost, mine is set to 1.45 to allow for 0.05 boost spike, never seen it go above 1.5 which is how i want it for the time being
