Default boosting problems

hi there,was out in my 1994 wrx classic last nite,was putting the foot down in 3rd and 4th,when hitting just over 5000rpm it would loose power but after a short time it would eventually get the power back,it done it a few times, any suggestions???

iv just disconnected the boost solinoid pipes/filter and blew them out so i will try that and see if that was the problem,i sounded abit healthier when i started it up so fingers crossed

Do you have a boost gauge fitted? When you say it eventually got the power back, do you mean you could drive through it and the boost would climb again, or do you mean later in the night?

Definitely sounds like boost leak somewhere.
