Default Fitting pinks to my bugeye wrx, have a question.

Spent an hour yesterday removing tmic etc and have done the spark plugs and injectors on the passenger side, cranked the engine over before refitting covers etc and noticed the injectors were leaking, when I trial refitted the blues they seemed to engage a little better, took them back out and fitted the pinks again. This time they went in a little better but im still not happy they are secure before I crank the engine again. Am I missing anything regarding knack and how to fit them?
They have identical seals etc fitted so can see how or why they are any harder to slot in. Any advice would be great.

as you tighten the rail press down on it heavy'ish ,if remember right passenger side as you tighten the end bolt it can lift the rail slightly so they leak.

spray brake cleaner on the seals just as you push them in to lube the seal a little

Cheers matey, will try this in the morning, I did have them bolted down but might try a little heavier handedness when doing it.

i found as you tighten the end bolts it can lift the rails enough for them to leak ,so holding them in place prevents it ,

not sure if brake cleaner is the right choice as it may affect the seals. but definately some form of lube on the seals is a good idea. I fited a parallel system to my car and firstly the Fuel Pressure Regulator pisswed fuel out. Once I had fixed the FPR the injectors on the drivers side pissed fuel out as there was a slight nick in the O-ring. Be firm but gentle,.

Well, all on and sorted, cheers for the advice fellas. One injector was just being akward, I inserted them as far into the rail as they would go without breaking anything then got a mate to hold the rail still with the butt of a hammer so he could put his weight on them, I tightened down the rail bolts and so far so good. Ran her for 20 mins up to temperature and will go out later too and check for leaks. Those rail covers are a total pain in the ****. One job I am never doing again.

Sounds like a right PITA, I'll be changing the manifold and turbo when I do mine so hopefully it'll be a bit easier off the car
