Question Removing Cyl Head oil gallery plugs - How?

Stripping down the heads for cleaning, I've mamaged to get ONE plug out, at the expense of a good Allen Key,
They are fixed in with a sealing compound, and my allen key did the job with more effort than I was happy with, and it's now slightly twisted!

Is this the answer:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bergen-5mm...item43ae2a3288

and use my impact driver?

or how about an air impact gun?

Mike.

Thats a better tool and will do the job on a hand tool, I would never use an impact tool on an engine.

Thanks
I thought about it and went off the impact idea already!

You must heat the area around them with a heat gun to stand any chance of them coming out, especially early heads, the newer avc's onwards are easy, you only get one shot at it then there finished, then its drill & a snap on parrallel easy out time.

Cheers,
I've got 2 out with a bit of heat, now run out of allen keys!
I'll wait till the proper tool comes.
It's a '96 GTB Legacy head/s.

Job done.
New tool and localised heat did the job.
Still managed to twist the new tool though!
