my car is overheating and i think its the water pump, is it right that if i take a heater pipe off and rev the engine, it should pump water out? if so mine is fecked as it has no water pumping out?

That makes sense to me. I dont know if your waterpump is the same as my 02 model but mine drives off the back of the timing belt, not the toothed side. So, you can have a seized waterpump or a tight one. The belt wont last long tho. Its time to take the covers off the front of the engine.
