Default Cold Air Induction Kit Filter

I have a HDi CAIK but I need to know the size of the filter to use, does anyone know the dimensions that will fit in the wing?

Thanks

Depends if you want stick with HDi filter or you can go with K&N filter RU-3130,which are mainly used in APS CAIK

Jura,

Wanted to try and get a K&N as after the winter the HDi one looks a bit the worse for wear and has started to rust by the look of it. I also wanted the right size one so I can just change it rather than having to get the old one off to measure it then take it off again to put the new one on.

Do you know if the one in the link fits the HDi pipe? Looking at the sizes it seems a bit small.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Arthur

I would contact here Harvey, which is dealer of HDI and i'm sure he will help you.

What i know many people use HyperFlow/K&N or Green Cotton as replacement.

Not sure what size of pipework of CAI you have,i think you have 3",but someone can prove i'm wrong

As i said, contact the Harvey for best advice

Here is link on the HyperFlow filters which people use them on HDi CAIK

Jura a bit off topic but:

What is a good inner wing CAIK to get that is not too expensive & what is the biggest air filter I can put on that? I dont mind cutting out inner wing.

Thanks

Hi Ricky

CAIK can be restrictive above 400bhp,i would go route of RCM big cone filter and some cold air feed(but we are still not running cold air feed at 490bhp)

JapSpeed CAIK is similar as HDi which can be good option and not expensive.

Biggest filter not sure, really Ricky, but Dave@IntialD has fitted as CAIK RCM big cone
