best ways to gain hp on impreza wrx
Hi
Ive recently got a bug eye wrx and i am wanting to know the best ways to gain horsepower.
I was thinking yellow/pink injectors? I dont know much about either at all so any advice is welcomed.
Car is standard apart from 3" exhaust system...
Just bought a walbro fuel pump for it.
If i was simply to get some pink/yellow injectors and a remap, what kind of gains would i see and is there anything else i would have to upgrade also.
I think its the standard turbo still however i will double check this tomorrow.
Something at the back of my head is telling me that something has been done to the car , as standard its only 215bhp, and it feels miles faster than my megane r26, and i mean hugely different.
I will report back when i get my brother whos a mechanic check out the injectors and turbo etc.
But lets base it on the fact if it is standard, whats the best route to take
thanks in advance guys

Remap is the easiest way, your standard injectors will be 380cc, good enough for what you want, and if the R26 were running correctly, it would be quite a bit quicker than a standard(ish) bug (it would feel less powerful due to it being twin scroll and having far smoother power delivery).
I would also look at doing something with the brakes on your car, they really are bad

Whats the max bhp the standard injectors can handle? if I was to get a remap as it stands today, what kind of gains would i be looking at? 40ish odd bhp?

go for td05 16 g (2nd hand ones pop up here all the time), 440's and a remap. job done
i had the same setup on my blob and saw 324 and plenty of fun. I've since gone the classic route for lightweight raw appeal since.
going for the above setup can be done for less than £1k (assuming you don't already have ecutek licence)

i am absolutely devastated , the car has been nothing but trouble since i got it its one thing after another in my case !! it was nearly finished for show season and time to enjoy it , then it done this !! so thats why im selling as parts and moving on to something easier to run and live with . engine made 360.1bhp but rolling road did need adjusting slightly . i would imagine somewhere between 340-350?
