Sti intercooler on WRX, remap needed?
Got a stack of mods going on soon but wondering if I can fit an STI intercooler now without needing a remap?

yeah you can fit it whenever but you wont feel much difference till the remap had mine on a few month before remap.

always wondered are the sti topmounts a direct fit ?

The STi TMIC is bigger and really very efficient.........one of subaru's finest really
They are a straight swap as long as you have the STi Y pipe bits for underneath as they are different to the WRX..

yeah they are bigger but the intercooler bracket has to holes so either can be fitted.

yeah fit it i had one on mine for ages nice and easy to do on minor adjustments

What bhp are you looking at? Standard WRX intercooler from blob/ bug is fine up to 320 bhp according to Andy Forest, some say more...

Hopefully 330 mate so it won't do any harm...
