Hi Steve have look on this thread

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1663677

We have too TGV delete, which we are never used because we are bought JDM V8 manifold which have TGV delete as standard

I would have look for JDM V8/Spec C manifold which will be maybe easier for you to do

STi intake has no TGV's.........all you need to do is get the error codes for the "faulty" TGV's mapped out and hide the wiring somewhere........or use the wiring to fire up some AVCS heads LOL

TGV's are a WRX intake thing.

Hawkeye 2.5 def has tgv - 3 ways to remove / cosworth hi flow manifold & tgv delete kit / jdm spec c manifold has no tgv / as there sole purpose is idle emission / or the d.i.y way if you have the time it's a very cost effective power gain 10/20 whp on a 2.5 sti with other supporting mods

Yes sorry , the tgv's or tumbler gyroscopic ( butterfly ) valves sit in spacer blocks attached to the manifold , they look like a figure 8 turned on there side

Cool I see where your coming from but the blob sti come with tgv spacers then ? Not deletes as the uk manifold is smaller than the spec c

As I believe the length of the spec c manifold has the tgv spacers size incorporated into it

Spec C hasd a one piece manifold no TGV's, the STi has a two (ok then 3) piece manifold with no TGV's.........

Did you buy an STi intake with nothing else bolted one??

It should look like this ..

I dunno mate got the manifold for 20 quid which was a cracking deal and got told I'd need tgv deletes/spacers

Do they look like wrx? If there ported and smoothed then they should be just as good as the STI ones?

Or will I have to get the insides fully removed?

Steve

I run the original TGV's on my bug with an 18G plus a slug of methanol injection without problems..........shouldn't be a problem with those either

Wouldn't it just be easier to stick those on your WRX manifold which wil avoid swapping stuff over?

As i said before, best is find Spec C manifold or JDM V8 onwards which are TGV free and are one piece of manifold

And here is our "old" TGV free WRX manifold

Yes but if I get the spec c manifold won't I need spec c fuel rails ?

I'll just fork out some cash to have them STI specced or buy another set lol

You can use any rails(we are using modified WRX CDF rails with custom brackets),just you must make some brackets which can for you make any good welder or try contact gazza@gr-performance he will do for you for good price

I think I'd rather have a straight through STi manifold rather than a ported WRX TGV delete set-up bolted on..................that's presuming you have bought the TGV deletes as modded WRX units.
