Hi i own a jap import wrx 1992 which has the 40% of the power going to the front wheel,s and 60% going to the back wheel,s was thinking thinking about getting a v3 or v4 sti jap import but was wondering if they would be 50% to the front and 50% going to the back or 40%,60% like my one so i would be grateful if anybody know,s if they could email back please as i prefer the 40%,60% than 50%,50%

How have you managed that? The standard diff in a 92 WRX is a 50/50 front/rear split. The only way I know of would be to install a non standard diff (I think Cusco did one, but it wasn't 60/40).

If you get a car with DCCD (v2 STi type RA, v3+ STi type R or STi type RA), the diff is adjustable from 35/65 F/R to 50/50 when locked.

thank,s for info was wondering about the sti,s with the DCCD diff dont know how my jap import wrx 1992 is 40/60 but it is alot better than 50/50 plus alot more fun in the rain more sildeway,s action and just brilliant in the snow lol thank anyway

your mechanical lsd in the back gives you that edge over say a v3+ with a fluid type

but there are 45/55 non dccd 5mts out there, RA and R variants had them
