General Technical Info/Advice/Tuning on 2001 1.6 N/A Bug Eye
Hi Guys,
As title, im struggling to find any info and advice on this engine from anywhere! Cant even find an engine code! What i do know its 1.6, 2001 N/A engine (in a bugeye estate), Constant AWD with HI & LOW ratios... Internet says between 95-105bhp... max bhp around 5000rpm...
1 thing i want to know is where can i get a direct fit induction kit for it? I can only seem to find panel filters...
Heres a pic of the engine
So, ANY info on this engine/box etc would be appreciated!
Cheers
(And before anyone comments on them being slow... - yes its not the quickest thing on the roads but has been very practical, and so far (touch wood!) reliable!)

I would have thought that the ones for the 2.0L N/A would fit.
In all honesty I would leave it alone and enjoy it being reliable. My Mrs has a 2.0L N/A and I haven't done anything to that except cosmetics.
N/A is just not economical to tune.

Cheers guys
N Scooby - main reason i want an aftermarket induction kit is because the standard 1 has seen better days... the air box has a slight crack in it and a previous owner has cut the air feed and had a cone on there ASWELL as the standard filter?! So there are air leaks everywhere.... also i wouldnt mind the sound from the front to complement the burble from the rear
