Default wheel bearing

Hi i believe a front wheel bearing off side i think is becoming noisy. I will get it jacked up to see if theres any play but i,m pretty sure it,s wheel bearing. Does it make sense to do both fronts at the same time? Is it best to use genuine Subaru items? And what age/mileage do they normally give up on an impreza? Thanks for your time.

get it sorted asap. Mines in at the min getting a new one. Started making a squeak/grinding noise and i thought it was the power steering belt which squeaks now and again . . . . was the front left bearing . . . and it wreaked the hub ! Get it sorted sooner rather than later. Had to do the same on the rear left last year. Not sure what age they go at , but mines a 2002 , 70k miles.

Just in the process tommorow changing them on my astra van, both fronts are unbearable even at low speeds , doing one at a time is ok but on my van it's the complete hub you buy not just the bearing as on an impreza

you wont feel any play until you start undo the hub etc , you do know the bearing needs a press to remove and refit
