Default Boost Solenoid

Hi,

Think my boost solenoid is on the way out, where can i get a new one (apart from dealer)? are they expensive? I have a MY00 UK turbo.

Tried cleaning it but its no better.

Hi,

These are relatively expensive for OE boost solenoids. Are you planning a remap in the near future?

Reason for asking is it would work out cheaper to buy an aftermarket 3 port boost control solenoid which would be cheaper than a OE boost solenoid and have it fitted at the same time as a remap.

Hi,

Thanks, i plan on going simtek route but not until end of this year so need something in the meantime. I will be going 3 port when i get the simtek fitted/setup
