ecutek license and mapping time.
What does this mean ??? can you not remap your car without this ??.
I have bought a UK300 which is already supposed to be around 240/250bhp ??.
Does this mean i can't just go and get a 300bhp map for instance from superchips,
if i wanted.Don't even know if they do a map,but if they did is it a NO NO.

Cheers

No point putting generic maps onto an impreza, you need a custom bespoke map - ECUTek is just one way of altering the map, you need to pay for the original install of the ecutek software (license fee) on top of the mappers time. You can however go open source and skip the License fee part. There are lot's pf options for mapping out there but only use a Subaru specalist - JGM has done all my mapping.
