Default overboosting

last night picked up my scoobs and on my first drive home in it noticed it was overboosting in the high gears ?
now the car has had an ecutek remap in 2010 but had an api engine fitted in jul 2011 which correct if im wrong makes the remap at it current settings all wrong
which is prob causing the overboost?
mods are blitz decat with japspeed downpipe walbro pump and hks panel filter
any thoughts
thanks

i would think cold weather causing the over boost as mine is doing the same at the moment 4th and 5th mainly you can contact your mapper and have it backed off or i just take it a bit easy plus get upto speed using 1st -3rd more then booting it it 4th and 5th as these gear create boost easier. i would think that you may well need a map tweek as well though with the new engine but dont quote me on that

get a similar problem in 4th 5th and 6th, cold weather is definaely a factor, , as mentioned take it a bit easier and ease it up the revs instead of full foot the the floor.

cold weather factor makes sense colder air flow = dense fuel and air mixture
think a remap tweak is order though hasnt been done since 2010 and as said previous owner had new engine fitted so surely some of the parameters must have changed ?

Colder weather will make it boost higher.

Regardless it shoukd be checked and tweaked for new engine
