Default loss of power

Hi I have replaced the intercooler Y-pipe on my 2004 WRX which I thought was the problem. I have double checked it had been tightened properly. But still have a loud sucking of air noise and lack of power when I hit 3000 rmp mark. I have looked for tears or holes in the pipes but can’t see anything.

Any ideas.

Sound like your intercooler cracked mate , the crack can be so small you wont see it

If you have checked every think else Its worth just talking it off and haven a really good luck where you from ?

I will have a good look later and see if I can see any cracks, thanks for your reply. I am from Enfield north london.
