Default up pipe!

just a quickie will a de-cat japspeed up pipe for a blob eye fit a classic ???

It will physically fit yes. More importantly are the sensors. Some have oxygen sensors in the up-pipe. Some dont.

Up pipes with a cat in them have a sensor so it's only the aftermarket replacement pipes that may have a hole for a sensor in it but they can be blanked off with a suitable sized bolt.

upipe sensor is an egt (cat on fire) sensor. Not an o2 sensor.
Still no need to replace a classic upipe with a blob one tho.

Indeed, unless his is cracked and has been offered a cheap newage one as a replacement.
