ECU Compatibility
Probs a daft question, not familiar with subaru's much, ive got a WRX lump from an 06/07 plate impreza, and ive been offered an ECU from a K-Reg scooby, been chipped by scooby-clinic but not sure it it will work on my newer engine. Any help would be appreciated.
Its for my 69 Beetle project, not sure if anyone on here would be interested in a progress thread so not made one on here.
Thanks, Shaun.

Hi Shaun, I've done exactly the same but with a slightly earlier 2004 engine in my beach buggy.
As for the ECU it will not work you need an ecu from a 2006 wrk you also need the keys and transponder ring from the same car the ecu came from, 2007 is quite a late engine and I'm guessing will be can bus interface on the electrics so will be a bitch to wire up unless you use a standalone ecu.
Head over to VWKD for more advice and plenty of reading.
