Manual boost valve or soleniod BMV ?
When i first got my scooby, the 2 port boost solenoid wasnt working right and was an open passage to the actuator, giving me 0.5 bar boost approx all the time at any revs. For the easiest i fitted a manual control valve and did away with the standard piping etc. Car runs spot on and boosts fine to where i have set it, ( yes i have a boost gauge ). My Question is :- Am i losing out on anything performance wise by not having the boost modulated ???
Car is a 52 plate bugeye prodrive, that has been remapped to 99 fuel. No other mods.

You may find with a manual boost control the bost comes on a bit later due to some of the pressure passing the manual control valve. I have used two manual valves and both of them do not give the responce of the electronic one. (Both valves were Daws type)
