Overboost issue
On a track day today the car was over boosting to 16psi on gauge and causing fuel cut at 6k
I have recently fitted a decat and KnN air filter kit,
I have searched a little and the bottom pipe on my solenoid is now going to atmosphere as the KnN kit I have has no place for it (is this ok?)
The car used to run 13psi with no over boost but the weather was freezing today too (could this be the issue ?)
I tried adjusting the actuator arm and eased off the acceleration a bit and this was a temporary solution
Id like to run 14/15PSI solid with no fuel cut, any recommendations
Thanks

Your Fail in order of priority.
1. Fitted a Decat
2. Fitted an Induction
3. Not Remapped
4. APC venting to atmos
Put the airbox back on decat is one thing but your gonna kill your engine atm.
At the VERY least the bottom APC pipe needs to be sealed into the back of the cone in some way. Most K&N kits have a hole to poke the APC pipe into. This pipe contains the restrictor pill so will dramatically alter your boost if left venting
At the risk of being rude, read the ******* manual, or don't mess with what you don't know

Tongue in cheek mate but a serious Fail for a reputable company. Look at the back of your cone and there will be a hole to put the APC pipe into. I have a chipped Z4 Ecu set up to run induction and decat in the forsale section. You are likely to continue to hit fuel cut in all honesty without a chip or remap.
The one I was running raises the boost target to 1.1 bar (16psi) with the fuel cut raised to 18psi. It also removes the 112mph JDM speed limiter and fuelling and ignition timing are altered to allow the safe increase in boost.
My car is/was running full decat, headers, induction, fuel pump etc. Was a good improvement and has served me well until my recent Apexi upgrade
