Yes a prodrive SP will be a straight plug & play in your MY2000 uk turbo. You need to make sure you buy the correct one , as yours is a 3 plug ecu,not a 4 plug . A 4 plug ecu will fit the earlier cars(1993 - 1996).
The one you want should look like this, bar the 4 numbers in black which will be different :

Prodrive ecu will normally boost the power from 215 bhp up to around 240 - 245 bhp, with a substantial more torque than your std ecu.It is one of the cheapest ways to boost performance on a std car,but works at its best with the prodrive intercooler Y pipe and a deresonated centre & prodrive backbox.
I used mine fully decatted with a scoobysport backbox and had no issues, but it is said that the prodrive ecu does not like to be run fully decatted.

Pricewise they can sell from £200 - £350

agree as mentioned above the one you want is the 3 plug with a grey socket as pictured. Nobody mentioned that the 97/98 model cars are also 3 plug but the socket on the ecu is yellow like the earlier 4 plugged ones. A my97/my98 yellow socket SP ecu wont work on a my99 my00 car. Hope thats right! Also I think the my99 my00 grey plugged ones are plug & play on a turbo 2000 i.e. no key coding like some of the earlier or later ones. The only slight problem would be if the car in question is a JDM model in which case I think it may need a couple of pins swapping but I am not certain about that.
