Lightbulb Blob Eye side lights

Hello Folks

I have an M.O.T. on wednesday and need to change my side lights. I'am a bit confused as it looks like I need to remove the headlight unit to get to them. Any tips to save me some time.

Cheers Craig

Yeah did mine not so long ago, pop the grill out then there are 3 bolts to unscrew, 2 on the top of the unit and one just behind the unit, hence why you remove the grill. You may have to remove the battery on the passengers side I'm not sure as I only did drivers side. Once the bolts are out you need to slowly wiggle the unit out, they are held in by 3 ball ended pins. Mine took a bit of force as I'm pretty sure they had never been removed previously. Once all three are popped out you should have the room to access the lamp holder.

There is a better write up on here somewhere with pics, might find it if you do a search.

same as above, once you have got the headlight part way out it'll feel like its held by an unknown bolt but its just another ball end pin. Give it a yank and it'll come out! Persitance mate.

Thanks for the advice guys. Just downloaded a factory service manual. What poor design. Will dismantle them in the morning.
