Intercooler-throttle body hose internal diameter?
Hi guys, nice simple one if someone can help. Does anyone know the internal diameter for the chode shaped hose from the intercooler to the throttle body? My car is a uk my99 turbo and it needs replacing. Seen a silicone Zerosports piece on Scoobyparts.com but has either 68/76/88mm ID. I think it's either 68/76 but haven't the means to check currently.
Thanks
Andy

Think the hose's O.D. is 70mm. And the wall thickness is 3/4mm, so:-
70 - (3 x 2) = 64mm I.D.
or
70 - (4 x 2) = 62mm I.D.
So 62/63/64 should be okay. Even if it's at 65-70mm - and possibly a bit too big and slack - the jubilee will keep it airtight and in place. It's not a if that bit of hose can move at all!
But the bottom line, just buy a 70mm (O.D.) hose - it'll be fine.

Thanks for that. Scoobyparts one is a little big then. Also look on my eBay app for one and they're 70ID. Good job I asked on here!

Me and Bob noticed it yesterday. One jubilee clip gave way on one run making the mixture rich and slightly hesitant. On inspection the hose is deteriorating so worth changing for a small outlay. I'm gonna change the clips today if I catch Cookies quick enough.
