Default Rear drive shaft issue

Hi guys new to the forum so be kind

Ive recently started a project of turning a classic shape impreza into a drift car. Have had the whole car apart to a bare shell and is now back on its build now.

The problem i have is that now i have my rear diff back on i was able to start putting the rear corners back together, But when it came to putting the drive shafts back on i found that they are in the diff but it looks as though they still need to go in another 1/2"

Anyone have any thoughts on my issue??

Cheers

Tom

easy as that? guess i was being a little gentle so i didnt damage any of the splines. When i have given them a tap it feels as though the CV just takes up the force
