Exhaust loudness...
Quick question...
I havent had a decat yet, but have got a scoobyparts Tornado 2 rear exhaust and H&S straight through centre section to 2nd cat..
Once both cats are removed and a sportscat is put on, is the exhaust any louder? Id like to hear more of the crisp burble...but not too much..Currently the exhaust on at the moment is only loud when warmed up a good bit!
My thoughts are that the 2 cats are acting like silencers, would I be right?

If its anything like mine has been it will definitely be louder but will sound very crisp especially with the de-resonated H&S section as well.
Main difference is the performance change. Had Duncan Race dynamix map mine post change and car is how it should of been out of the factory

I have a 3" cobra system with a second decat pipe and i must say its pretty loud. Set off a car alarm in a multistory before. My mates also got a 3" cobra system and sports cat on his hawkeye and mine is much louder.
My cobra isnt very well made tho tbh

Martyn, just noticed you are almost local to me!
our office is in Abz.What Subie have you got? I was informed that the hawks can suffer boost spikes with having the second cat removed and not mapped...did you get yours mapped up?

I have a 2005 wrx blobeye. Cant help you on the boost spike problem. Nah my thing isnt mapped been told it should be ok since its just the second cat thats off it.

Slightly worried now as I have got a full decatted race tube no backbox as such, I haven't heard on the road yet been put on mine... gunna be told off me thinks! Lol
