Default Blanking Plug Cylinder 3 Hex Size?

Hi all does anyone know the size of allen key i need to remove this for a temp gauge?

Yes, it's an 8mm Allen key....but it needs to be a LONG one and DECENT QUALITY.

I can't stress this last enough.

Mine was £8 for ONE Allen key.

never a truer word said by alcazar DONT round it off or you will be fcked.

remove the intercooler for better access mine was very tight.

Make sure you clean the area around the oil gallery plug before you remove it - you dont want any shat dropping down the oil gallery.

mine was stiff as **** and a real bitch to get out. You defo need a high quality long allen key and plenty of leverage, i learned the hard way by snapping my first key off in the plug (at least i didn't round it off.)

I remember doing mine, the Allen key was TWISTED about 30 degrees before the plug cracked out....but when I looked at the key afterwards, it had sprung back

i did mine with a socket type wasnt too bad just a pain to get back in and even more of a pain to fit a banjo there
