breather pipes
i am fitting a catch tank and have read the fitting guides on here etc and have thought why not just take the pipes that go into the inlet pipe and just connect pipes from there instead of running loads of pipes under manifold etc from where the breathers leave the block/heads then just blocking inlet with 2 bungs.is this ok to do this way?
also with the breather that goes to the throttle housing can i just cut that pipe and block both parts.oh its a 93 wrx by the way.cheers

The two rocker cover breathers connect in to one and then go into the inlet pipe. You can put a bung in the inlet and take that pipe to the can. The block/crankcase breather, has a t-piece, one end goes into the inlet and the other the throttle body. Put a bung in the inlet pipe. Chop the pipe going to the throttle body and put a bung in either end. then take the pipe that used to go to the inlet and route it to the can.
You could do it way neater, but this method will do the job. I have based the above on a newage and as far as i am aware the classic and newage have the same breather setup.
